PINK ISTANBUL posters

My initial concept concerning the PINK ISTANBUL event was to create promotional posters.
I therefore designed a small series using the muslim hexagon as my main reference.

The first two demo designs were consisted of that hexagon covering he figure of a roman wrestler.

The second two were based on an oil wrestling photo in the background, the symbol at the front and a disaturated form of the X and Y chromosomes that among other define the sex in a species.

Eventually we decided to go on with the t-shirt idea.

PINK ISTANBUL beautiful rejects

I designed around 20 variations of the t-shirt composition before Serdar and I decided on the final one.
Here are the most "beautiful rejects".

PINK ISTANBUL t-shirt

PINK ISTANBUL is a twice a year venue organized by CLUB PERA. The man behind the event, Serdar Manavoglou, invited me to design a t-shirt for their April 2010 event in Amsterdam.
The design had to incorporate cliches of the Turkish culture plus a gay-orientated humorous figure that would somehow flirt with sexiness and naughtiness.

I created a barely naked turkish "bear" delivery guy, surrounded with "walking" turkish delights, next to the moto "TURKISH DELIGHT - delivery guaranteed". The logo of the venue was placed on the left bottom side of the t-shirt.

PINK ISTANBUL decided to print 80 slim-fit t-shirts in various sizes that would be offered free during the venue at Paradiso Amsterdam.
